New Inside the Vault at the BethBlog, featuring Associate Producer Tim Lamb:

Today’s Inside the Vault is about one of our associate producers, Tim Lamb. His main area of focus is programming. Tim is the pulse of programming and he works hard to keep us on track. He is also known for his prowess at Call of Duty and Halo, in addition to wearing stylish visors every day.

What’s your job at Bethesda?
I am the Associate Producer for programming. I work with the coders to lay-out and keep the schedule up-to-date. I assign the majority of bugs and tasks that go to coders, modify the priorities, get them dated and scheduled, monitor the status, shift them when needed, rinse and repeat. I also perform a number of other miscellaneous tasks like firing off and tracking builds, updating kits for meetings, and pretty much whatever else I can do to keep the development process moving along.[...]

What games are you looking forward to?
Ninja Gaiden 2, GTA IV, Mercenaries 2 and Fallout 3, of course.

Hung With The Greats: Emil Next Gen

emil.jpg

Next Generation presents the Hot 100 Game Developers of the year, with some familiar faces like this one:

24. Emil Pagliarulo
Lead Designer, Fallout 3
Bethesda Softworks

Before coming to Bethesda, Pagliarulo hung with the greats at the sadly defunct Looking Glass Studios, lending design work to well-respected classics like Thief II: The Metal Age. Bethesda in turn has relied on him for tasks as important as the quest design of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. His success in that regard has led to him to become the head of design on the studio’s important Fallout revival. It doesn’t matter what nonsense the vocal minority spews about Fallout 3; it the project continues in its current way it could be another landmark work for Bethesda, and the game that could make Pagliarulo’s career.

So next gen. Spotted at GameBanshee.

The Sound of Silence

On one of the many crazy discussions on the Bethesda Games Fallout 3 forum Steve “MrSmileyFaceDude” Meister had this reply to Fallout fan Muad_Dib:

I’m not going to answer anyone’s questions about Fallout 3 — don’t feel singled out smile.gif

I’m a bit tired of this situation, I think we should hijack MSFD’s beard and ask for some info as ransom.
