    I love the novel. One of the first books I ever read front to back in one sitting. Can’t say I’m at all excited about this one.

    Last summer I lived in New York and one day they were shooting a car chase scene from the movie right in front of my place (10th Ave & 57th St in Manhattan).

    Will Smith wasn’t on set, they were using a stunt driver. The street was deserted except for a couple of dusty cars (nuclear fallout?) on the curb. In the scene Smith’ character would race up 10th and slide around the corner onto 57th, tires screeching.
    The car was a shiny clean red 2007 Ford Shelby Cobra GT500 with white race stripes. Very annoying in-your-face product placement! There was a dog riding shotgun.

    I don’t know the novel, but after what Smith did with I, Robot, this one is bound to bomb.
