TheGragster on Fallout and Bethesda

My thanks to SpaceKungFuMan and Gimli for pointing out a new post by the ever discreet TheGragster from BethSoft talking about some interesting issues, you can see the context of the discussion going to this topic at Bethesda Fallout 3 Forum:
First off I would like to quickly say that I am an artist at Bethesda. [...]

Fallout roundup

Let’s do a round up of things I wanted to post previously:
Here you can see that Gavin “kathode” Carter, Fallout 3 Producer has good taste and good knowledge of post-apoc imagery;
Here you can see what Joel Burgess, Lead Level Designer for Fallout 3 has to say about the world of Arcanum, with this interesting quote:
@Kharn [...]

Mature Fallout 3

I was reading a topic about adult content on Fallout 3 when I remembered to go back and check again a few words Desslock wrote on his column at PCGamer not so long a go:
[...]Daggerfall also featured occasional nudity, but concern over the apparent presence of an errant nipple hidden in other Oblivion artwork generated [...]

Hungry

Yesterday Hungry Donner, a moderator on the Bethesda Games Studios Forum made an interesting remark:
Other than a few bad apples the Fallout community is being quite civil about this, even though most have extremely low opinions and are quite frustrated about the lack of information. Heck, in some areas things are better here than they [...]

Films

Matt “Gstaff” Grandstaff just confirmed something that I knew already, but a few fans wanted to check:
The publication of any screenplay or release of any film based on Fallout or using its characters would require a license agreement from Bethesda Softworks.
Please no one mentions this to Uwe Boll, or give him Bethsofts phone number…

Furry Fallout

There is a sub group inside The Elder Scrolls fans that is infamous for following Furry activities, no doubt because of some characters in the series. I’m not going to give you a link to their forum, since they cherish their privacy, particularly those that do sexual role-play in furs, but I can show you [...]

Fallout voices

I was reading Chris Borders interview at NoMutantsAllowed today and was reminded that the Sound work at the gaming industry really took off in terms of quality during the Fallout years (second half of the 90’s). For those that don’t know here’s a list of some of the talent behind the voices at Fallout I [...]

Fallout 3: Times are Changing?

Seems the link I left for some anti-Bethesda subversive montage, called “Bethesda will be defeated”, was a success, since I already received a “Briosafreak will be defeated” link, and even a “Briosafreak you are my friend” link in the same vein.
Hillarious!
On a more serious note Ross Miller at Joystick made a [...]

Fallout 3 grapevine

Doing something as a blog allows me to post things that are a bit more unsubstantiated or out of regular news agendas than what I would normally do on a news site, even on a fansite. So I’ll drive your attention to a few notes from the last days that I find interesting, even if [...]

Fallout 3 Producer is actually a nice guy

Gavin “Kathode” Carter has replied with some more bits about who is in the Fallout 3 team, and what they do:
Hayt is a designer who works under Emil. As for me, the various production titles here can get confusing, so let me explain. Todd Howard is the Executive Producer. For all intents and purposes, he [...]

Mr. Teatime says

Mr. Teatime, from DuckandCover, wrote a rather long but engaging article that was first featured in his Blog, with an important disclaimer:
DISCLAIMER: Before I start, I’d like to ask the more impressionable reader not to take this article completely seriously. There are some serious points in here, but it’s also meant to be reactionary, fun [...]

New face on the block

As I’ve posted before the new community manager at Bethsoft is Matt “Gstaff” Grandstaff.
Gstaff went to school at the University of Michigan where he majored in Communications. He spent the last few years working with a variety of companies in the online space and their communities. In his words:
Since I can remember, I’ve been [...]

The Forum and Mortality

The first twenty four hours on the new Fallout 3 Forum at Bethsoft went as expected. Three or four guys from three years ago got to post some gross links and some bizarre posts, a douzen anti-Fallout fans tried to troll their way into a fight, the moderators got a bit confused on what to [...]

It’s Here

New Official Fallout 3 Site
Nothing special on it for now, but thanks Morbus yet again

Manager revealed

The new community manager at Bethsoft is Matt “Gstaff” Grandstaff. We’ll have more on him in the coming days.
Thanks Morbus

Fallout Forum at Bethesda

Bethesda opened the Fallout Forum, at last. In the only two days so far this year I was away and unable to get online . Grrr.
I’m back, this blog will continue to operate normally tomorrow.
Thanks Morbus for the tip, picture from Ashley Cheng’s Blog.
